Lotion Bars

Looking for a stunning DIY for loved ones this Christmas? What about something for kindy or school teachers?

Try these stunning Lotion Bars! Easy to whip up, get the kids involved with the measuring and sprinkling the flowers, then wrap them in some pretty paper and you're done!  

INGREDIENTS & EQUIPMENT:

  • silicone moulds

  • 1/3 cup coconut oil

  • 1/3 cup shea butter

  • 1/3 cup beeswax pellets (or candelilla wax)

  • rose petals

  • essential oils of choice

OIL COMBOS I LOVE:

  • Passion & Green Mandarin

  • Vanilla & Grapefruit

  • Adaptiv

  • Whisper & Bergamot

  • Jasmine and wild orange

  • Clary Sage and Patchouli

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Into a pyrex glass bowl, combine oil, butter and wax, then place bowl in a pot filled with an inch of water. Heat over high heat until all ingredients are melted (the wax will take 5 minutes to melt)

  2. sprinkle some rose petals into silicone moulds and then pour mixture over the rose petals.

  3. Wait 3-4 minutes then add your essential oils. I add 10 drops total to each bar.

  4. Refrigerate for 2 hours until firm.

To use, simply rub bar over body, the heat from your body will melt the bar into a luxurious moisturiser.
