Low Tox Laundry - Safer Brands for Your Family

Swapping out your laundry powder is one of the more important things to look at when lowering our toxic load. If you think about it, we spend HOURS in clothes and between the sheets, so we want to know that what we’re using to wash our clothes is not full of chemicals that are harmful to our health 😱

here's why

We wear clothes and Pyjamas 24/7. We sleep in sheets 8-12 hours a night. We are dressed in or sleep in fabrics all day, so we better make sure what we're using to clean our clothes and bedding is not adversely affecting our skin, our airways, our air and the earth!

fragranced does not equal clean!

Because of synthetic binders used to make a scent last longer, it can take up to 8+ washes to remove detergent from fabrics! Fragrance/parfum is an catch all term for the combination of chemicals producing a scent. It may contain 100's-1000's of individual ingredients, which manufacturers are not required to disclose.

what to avoid

Greenwashing is prolific, and ‘sensitive’ and ‘gentle’ do not equal safe. Here are some key ingredients to avoid:
