Living Low Tox 80/20

We CAN be intentional and informed about our toxic load, about ingredients in products and choosing better for our families AND I teach about natural and low tox living here and am incredibly passionate about it, BUT also recognise that some people can feel this lifestyle is too overwhelming and unrealistic.

I encourage you to START SMALL. Baby steps, one swap at a time.

Runout and replace. There is room for imperfect here - progress over perfectionism. Also live a life with balance, perspective and positive mental health!

ALWAYS x

not sure who needs to hear this but…

You can still be low tox and get your hair dyed.

You can swap to natural cleaners and personal care products AND still get your nails done at the mall.

You can filter your water, drink out of stainless steel bottles AND grab the occasional Starbucks or bubble tea.

You can prioritise buying organic, sustainably sourced fabrics + shop second hand AND buy a new dress off the rack for an event.

all or nothing mentality

There is a real 'all or nothing' mentality in the low tox/wellness space, where people feel they may as well give up, if they can’t do it all perfectly immediately.

I do not believe it is healthy.

I would argue it’s these little things that we compromise on, that make everything else more doable and less overwhelming.

no one is perfect

And nor should we aim to be!

I aim for 80/20.

We all get to choose what feels right for us. My 20% will be different from someone else's 20% (or 30%, 40% whatever!).

My point is, let's let go of judgement and recognise we're on our own paths.
