Buckwheat Pikelets
These super easy pikelets are the perfect afternoon tea for the kids, best lunch box fillers and even Saturday morning breakfast.
Twix Bars
It's no secret I love to recreate family favourite recipes, and this chocolate bar is no exception. The original Twix Bars were always something we fought for as siblings when we got the chocolate bar pick and mix on road trips. It brings back memories for sure. Now this version with it's baked shortbread base, gooey caramel filling and chocolate coating literally melts in your mouth!
Salted Peanut Butter Cups
My best friend growing up was originally from the US, so I was introduced to American candy early! When my family moved cities, I missed my supply of Reese's Pieces Peanut Butter Cups and Peanut Butter M&M's (and my friend too of course!). Nowadays, these chocolate candies are way too sweet for my taste buds, however, this version you CAN enjoy in moderation, without the trans fats and refined sugar.
Berry & Nut Butter Baked Oats
Baked oats are delicious as a quick breakfast, as a snack or even in the lunch box! Baked oats results in a lovely spongy texture and it's easy to adapt it with your favourite fruits and spices.
Carrot Cake Loaf
Carrot cake has always a favourite of mine, but traditional carrot cake recipes are usually full of oil and packed full of refined sugar. This delicious gluten-free loaf, however, is packed full of goodness and flavor, with zero vegetable oil or refined sweetener!I've made this for friends and it has always got the thumbs up!
Hazelnut Jaffa Bliss Balls
Anyone else love a chocolate and orange combination? These have got to be two of my flavours together, and these sugar-free, dairy free and grain free little bites of amazingness are even better than store-bought Jaffa's or Terry's Orange Chocolate in my opinion.
Easy Single Serve Oatmeal Pancakes with Stewed Cinnamon Apples
Looking for a nourishing pancake with minimal ingredients and no added sugar? Look no further than these simple single serve oatmeal pancakes. They're so easy to make it's a bit crazy and you're sure to have all the ingredients in your pantry already.Delicious right out of the fry pan with banana and nut butter or as shown with stewed apple and cacao nibs. They're also fabulous cold with some nut butter and chia jam.
Pesto Croquettes
Who doesn't love a hot croquette? Crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, just delicious.Traditional potato croquettes are deep-fried, stuffed with breadcrumbs and in my opinion, somewhat bland by themselves.I give you the pesto croquette! Is there anything that pesto does not make taste better? I think not.I used my go-to vegan cashew pesto recipe for these, but you can use whatever pesto recipe you like, or heck, buy the pesto (just be careful to source a pesto made with olive oil, not canola).
Drool Worthy Raw Caramel Slice
I realised the other day I didn't have a Caramel Slice recipe on the website (despite making this one numerous times) and in my humble opinion, every good website needs a Caramel Slice recipe ;) I’ve remade this classic decadence using only wholesome and natural ingredients, as I always found the original very sickly sweet. Just me?
Chocolate Chia Pudding
I'm a total sucker for foods with great texture. That's why I love a good chia pudding! I know most people are very polarised and either love or hate these little seeds, but I'm a fan!Other than the great texture, and the delicious taste you can create (when using this recipe!) chia seeds are also an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, rich in antioxidants, and they provide fiber, iron, and calcium.
Healthy Afghans
Who doesn't love an Afghan biscuit? Grain-free and refined sugar-free, these biscuits don't contain the usual cornflakes, flour, and sugar that the original recipe calls for, but give the same decadent satisfaction and are a real crowd pleaser.
Chocolate & Caramel Nut Slice
Many raw 'caramel' slices online these days are full of sugar, which taste beautiful but will spike your insulin levels (which tell your body to store fat if it's in excess) and trigger your body to want more and more! This decadent slice is not the same. With natural sweetness from the coconut and only one teaspoon of rice malt syrup, it won't dramatically spike your blood sugars and send you into a food coma! Yay. I do caution you however, that it's so delicious you will want to store it out of sight!
Avocado Brownie Fudge
What's better than a fudgy brownie with an added vegetable? TWO added vegetables! Well a fruit and a vegetable to be exact, but it's gotta be good for you!
Broccoli, Kale and Bean Salad
Deliciously light and flavoursome, this salad has just the right amount of crunch from the almonds and a slight sweetness from the goji berries. Healthy fats from the avocado and protein and slow release carbohydrates from the beans, this salad will keep you full for hours.
Green Smoothie Bowl
This is pretty much my go-to breakfast every morning in summer months.Fresh, filling and an awesome way to sneak in those extra greens, this nutrient-packed smoothie is sure to make you feel nourished and vibrant!
